This is the Women's Memorial at Arlington Cemetery. There is a fountain at the bottom and a walkway across the top. Also from the top there is a beautiful view of the Lincoln and Washington monuments as well as the Capital building.
This morning I went to Arlington Cemetery. It's just 3 metro stops away from my apartment. Although I have seen the cemetery twice before, I was still very impressed with the feeling that is there. It was refreshing to be away from the busyness and noises of the city. I hope to go back again and again and enjoy the peacefulness there. Today I spent time at the Women's Memorial and the Tomb of the Unknowns.
